The Future

Important Choices

by Lynn L. Weldon

The Future

The purpose of this important book is to encourage individual and group choice-making for effective participation in building a better future. It is designed to involve the reader in thinking about the most important challenges facing the human race and identifying which priorities should require action.

Each chapter contains though-provoking questions and activities intended to stimulate readers to examine their own beliefs and values relative to making decisions about what they want for the future.

The Future: Important Choices is the only book written as an introductory or supplemental text for college and university courses on future studies. It is also the only book written for general readers that succinctly summarizes major future world issues. Differing views of population growth, food needs, environmental problems, war and peace, nationalism and world government, and capitalism versus collectivism are examined.
