Matthew Downey is a professor of history emeritus at the University of Northern Colorado. He also directed UNC’s Interdisciplinary Studies Elementary Teaching major for future elementary teachers. Professor Downey has written several history textbooks as well as numerous books and articles about history education.

Jenny Pettit has taught social studies for over sixteen years in public, private, and on-line schools. She has developed and published curriculum for elementary, secondary, and college levels. Jenny is the social studies curriculum coordinator for the St. Vrain Valley School District.
