Gisli Palsson is professor emeritus at the University of Iceland. He is Honorary Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland and recipient of the 2000 Rosenstiel Award from the University of Miami. Among his books is Anthropologies of Life: Nature, Culture and Society (forthcoming).
