Textbooks

Textbooks typically remain in print for several years before new editions appear. In some cases in which frequent updates are required to keep a book current, the the press publishes annual supplements, which are available separately at a low cost, keeping the original edition useful and up to date for many years. The University Press of Colorado cannot predict the lifetime of a single edition, save to say that most books that appear in revised and updated editions do so after several years in print. While books sometimes include supplementary materials such as audio or data CDs, none are considered "bundled." Any supplementary materials are considered part of a book's production and pricing and the book is considered by the authors to be incomplete without such supplementary materials.
